Glen Dimplex Deutschland.
Electric heating, cooling, and ventilation solutions for a sustainable future.
Glen Dimplex Deutschland supplies effective solutions to counter advancing climate change. The Franconian company has completely reinvented heat pump technology and develops highly efficient system solutions for environmentally friendly heating, cooling and ventilation of homes, industrial buildings and processes, and for precision cooling in medical technology. With the right energy mix, this means: Zero CO2 footprint. Glen Dimplex develops key technologies for cleaner air, lower harmful emissions, conservation of natural resources and thus for a sustainable future for our planet. Glen Dimplex’ prize-winning designs show that protecting the climate isn’t just good for the environment and the wallet, it can still look good too.
Climate change and rising energy consumption demand greater energy efficiency and the use of environmentally friendly renewable energies. For more than 40 years, Glen Dimplex Deutschland has been a climate pioneer with its electric heating, cooling and ventilation solutions for a sustainable future. Electricity is the only energy that can be completely generated from renewable CO2 free sources. “Depending on the energy source, from one unit of electricity we can produce 5 units of usable heat. This makes our heat pumps unbeatably energy efficient”, says Clemens Dereschkewitz, CEO of Glen Dimplex Deutschland.
Dimplex’s sustainable systems provide integrated solutions for process cooling and heat recovery for commercial and industrial applications, as well as innovative heat pumps that represent a significantly better alternative to fossil fuel heating in private households. In the field of medical technology, Glen Dimplex - through its Riedel brand - is the expert in precision cooling and the global market leader for system separators in MRT technology. All products work with optimised refrigeration circuits and are electrically powered, designed to save as much energy as possible. Advancing digitalisation of the efficient systems also opens up totally new perspectives in terms of customer benefits (e.g. convenient remote control) and service (e.g. continuous remote maintenance of the entire system).
“Our products help to significantly reduce CO2 emissions in the areas of heating, cooling and ventilation, while simultaneously bringing considerable cost savings. This takes us a major step forwards in terms of achieving global climate targets”, said Clemens Dereschkewitz. You should also know that more than half of European energy consumption is used for cooling and heating. This represents almost a third of total CO2 emissions.
Glen Dimplex Deutschland is part of the international Glen Dimplex Group based in Dublin (Ireland), which was founded in 1973 by Martin Naughton and is now a leading global supplier of electric heating solutions and domestic appliances.
Glen Dimplex Deutschland combines the group’s international knowledge and expertise in the development and production of highly efficient system solutions for heating, cooling and ventilation of buildings, as well as commercial and industrial applications and supplies the Dimplex, Riedel and Koolant Koolers brands. As well as the headquarters in Kulmbach, Glen Dimplex Deutschland also has subsidiaries in Kalamazoo (USA) and Shenyang (China).
At its HQ in Kulmbach, Glen Dimplex has stood for expertise in heating and refrigeration for over 40 years. This is where energy-efficient heating and air-conditioning systems are designed by our engineers and technicians at our in-house Development department, perfected to market maturity and manufactured. Products from Glen Dimplex are a byword for engineering expertise, quality and “Made in Germany” design. Glen Dimplex Deutschland's worldwide locations employ a total of over 800 people.
