Glen Dimplex Thermal Solutions (GDTS) is presenting the latest version of the successful System M heat pump range at the SHK trade fairs 2018. Last year, the refrigeration pioneer presented the radically simple and versatile heating and cooling system for the first time. Now even more efficient and unique thanks to the optional inverter technology and new design variants.

Even a year after the launch, System M is still a revolution. An air-to-water heat pump offers an innovative design and intuitive operation, is extremely quiet and efficient to run and can be configured conveniently and individually. Each of these five advantages is impressive in its own right and, together, they create the unique complete solution. Distinguished six times with the iF Design Award 2018, the German Design Award 2018 and the German Brand Award 2017.

Versatile: System M impresses with different configurations. This means that the heat pump can be adapted precisely to the relevant requirements. With or without an integrated domestic hot water cylinder. In different performance levels – for small or large houses, from 4 to 16kW. With or without connections for photovoltaic or solar thermal systems.

System M is also delivered pre-assembled: the compact indoor unit contains all necessary components and is connected with the outdoor unit via a refrigerant line and an electrical connection line. The heat pump system can be set up and commissioned in a day. The new type of control also helps here. It makes the first steps and the daily operation simple. It offers guided commissioning for specialist engineers, with preset parameters and automatic detection of the connected components. From there, the integrated controller intelligence always ensures that heating and cooling automatically takes place as efficiently as possible. Even if residents adjust the usual settings like the desired temperature, domestic hot water temperature or quick-heat option. All the settings mentioned can be controlled an on intuitive touch display on the device or simply via an app on any smart device. The GDTS Home App for iOS and Android is now available in the stores for this purpose. System M received the iF Design Award 2018 for the well thought out user guidance and innovative technology.

For the trade fair, GDTS presents System M with inverter technology. This type of compressor provides the heat output precisely when it is needed and only as much or as little as required. System M with inverter reacts flexibly and adapts the output continuously to the heat consumption. The desired room or water temperature is thus always achieved with the minimum possible energy consumption – regardless of the demands of the season outside. High domestic hot water comfort guaranteed, as the flexible output of the inverter significantly shortens the start-up time of the heat-up process.

System M also impresses visually with compact dimensions and individual design. The smallest outdoor unit on the market (0.3m²) now adapts even more effectively to the building style and facade with additional design variants. The new fibre cement panelling is available in two colour variants, light or dark. Alternatively, the aluminium surfaces can be designed in your colour of choice: monochrome or bi-colour in 1,625 RAL colours.

System M is not only silent – it looks silent too. All noises are emitted at the side and not in the direction of the neighbour's house. There are no ventilation grilles or visible rotating ventilation fans with System M. Low frequencies that are particularly unpleasant to the human ear are filtered out in a targeted way. System M uses the benefits of the integral technology: because the sound sources are decoupled with the fan (outside) and compressor (inside). A distance of five meters from the neighbours – in any direction - is therefore completely sufficient. And the best thing: the most important building and noise directives are fully met.
